Why Is This For Me?
There are so many invitations and pitches for meetings, seminars, workshops and "special events" that any small business owner or manager should be careful in deciding which is most suitable for his or her needs.
Business Matchmaking provides unprecedented opportunities for small businesses to secure selling opportunities from government agencies and major corporations at key events. The program unites education, training, counseling, key resources, tools and special relationships with thousands of procurement representatives from the public and private sector. Based on the continued support by HP and Intel, Symantec, Dun & Bradstreet, Bank of America, Lockheed Martin, Greatland and other private companies together with CA SBDC, SCORE and The Latino Coalition, Business Matchmaking continues to be a free initiative for all small business participants.
Business Matchmaking is targeted at small businesses with 8 to 250 employees. Occasionally, smaller companies attend that are planning on expansion or teaming with others to pursue contracts.
Business Matchmaking, a not-for-profit public/private initiative, was started by a partnership between the SBA and HP. Over the past 8 years, we have enabled over 75,000 meetings between small business sellers and buyers from federal, state and local government agencies and Fortune 500 corporations.
The events are free and offer a remarkable networking opportunity in addition to private meetings with key buyers and counseling sessions with SBA, SBDC and SCORE representatives.
In addition, HP, Symantec, and Dun & Bradstreet make available special products and services for qualified small businesses enhancing their opportunities to sell to the most demanding of federal agencies and participating corporations.
